Application procedure
Certification required: Intended for trained detailers only. Professional knowledge of abrasive polishing is necessary.
Prep: Clean, wash, and dry panel. Lightly wipe with panel wipe or IPA to remove any contamination.
Select pad: Use Kamikaze’s Banzai Dynamics Black Hybrid Wool Pad (#1500) for maximum cut; or Russo buff pad for moderate one-step polish.
Apply: Place Zero Fighter on a foam or wool pad and work on small sections, starting on low speed to refine and then increasing as needed for cut.
Use straight strokes: Employ overlapping passes in linear motions—no swirling. Maintain pad flat and consistent pressure.
Check skin effect: After each section, inspect under bright light. Pads should gently change the skin texture (~50–60%) without removing too much clear coat.
Clean residue: Use high-quality microfiber towel to remove polish residue. If hazing or swirl appears, re-blend using minimal pressure.
Optional follow-up: After heavy correction, refine with a finishing polish like Ichiban or Miyabi for optimal gloss.
Wash & prepare: Post-polish, wash again and degrease before applying any ceramic coating.
